Blue's Costume Party (Blues Clues)
Published in Paperback by Simon Spotlight (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Creatively Fantastivically Brilliant!I was thrilled to see a book offered that prompts children to interpret, understand and then illustrate their interpretations of the lessons taught in this book. As a teacher, I find that most children's books attempt to dazzle the eyes and do not demand a great deal in terms of creativity. In this book, however, the children are given initial prompts to help them shape thier ideas about feelings, but are then given the space to draw and experiment which allows them to reinforce and reinvent further variations on a theme. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wishing a different and more individual approach to learning about feelings...top on my list!

BREAKING THE MIND BARRIER
Published in Paperback by Simon & Schuster (October, 1997)
Average review score:

VERY DEEP and worth the voyageThis is one of the best books I've read on how the mind works! It's not an easy read, but is extremely rich and thought provoking. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the nature of the human mind and the mind's physical, emotional and spiritual relationship with the universe as a whole.

Budavox
Published in Hardcover by Dc Books (August, 1999)
Average review score:

sinister and forebodingSwift's poetry is at once erotic and playful, sinister and foreboding. It reads like Georgia O'Keefe's stranger paintings. Hot with death and cold in passion, he plays with the reader, manipulating us ... but does it feel good

Budoshoshinshu: The Warrior's Primer

Wisdom to live your life with honor in today's moder worldEven though the words were written many years ago, they still hold true today and we all would benefit if man/womankind walked the way of the warrior and upheld the Bushido code...

The Caddo Indians: Tribes at the Convergence of Empires, 1542-1854
Published in Paperback by Texas A&M University Press (December, 1995)
Average review score:

History, Baseball & BeerIf there is just one book you buy this year on the Caddo Indians, let it be this one. This is a book for scholars. But it is also a book for the armchair history buff. Smith writes in a palatable style. In the end, it is the natural narrative that carries the story. This part of American history is missed in most public education. Sit back with a cold one and this book. I did.

Candy Heart: A Love Letter
Published in Hardcover by Casablanca Pr (January, 1902)
Average review score:

Back in 1902 (the publishing date)......Todd Stocke whittled a "candy" heart for his sweetie-pie and turned it into a masterpiece of love and whittlin. There begins this serio-tragic story about a man, his gal, a sharp blade, a cord of wood and love amidst the pines. Not to be missed.

Cardiovascular Review Books (4 Volume Set)
Published in Spiral-bound by Cardiac Self Assessment (01 January, 1996)
Average review score:

Best and only review for RCIS ExamThis is the only study guide available for CCI's cath lab exam. The format is very readable and the graphics extremely helpful. The real meat comes in the explanations - following the questions. The reader feels that Todd enters into a personal discussion with you on the topic of the question - why it is important, tips to remember, why the answer is correct and why the distracters are wrong. The cost is high, but worth every penny when you consider how much work and dedication have been put into it. If you want to pass the RCIS exam you will need these books. They are also good for training new cath lab employees.
